Longhand Square Roots (written explanation)

Some students are not allowed to use calculators. This method works to find the square root by hand, whether it's a perfect square or not. We've used an imperfect square for this example. You can also watch the Youtube video in the other post for the same explanation.

You can stop at anytime, but since we've had so many zeros, let's keep going!
